Shri Venkateshwara Shikshan Sanstha was established in year 2000 under dynamic leadership of Vanashree Nanasaheb Mahadik. Shri Venkateshwara Shikshan Sanstha has started Shri. Venkateshwara College Of Science Peth, Islampur in 2015. The College is Affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

A beautiful campus of Nanasaheb Mahadik Campus is located at Pethnaka, which is at the centre of Sangli-Kolhapur-Karad on NH-4 highway.

It provide the best possible facilities to enable our students to benefit from a modern learning environment and enjoy their educational experience.

College Bus
Bus facility is provided for the students from first year to third year at minimum charges ensuring a hassle-free and safe transportation to the students from their home to college. Bus facility is available from the following routes. Karad to Peth ( Vidyanagar – Bus Stand - Kolhapur Naka – Malkapur - Wathar – Kasegaon – Nerle - Peth), Shirala to Peth (Bus Stand – Red – Rethare Dharan – Peth), Tandulwadi to Peth ( Yelur Phata – Kameri – Waghwadi Phata), Islampur to Peth (Bus Stand - Dange Pethol Pump – Kapurwadi – Peth)
Canteen
The College has a canteen inside the campus in which variety of dishes are available at reasonable rates to the students as well as teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. It is capable of catering the demands of the students and can accommodate 40 persons at a time. It has spacious, clean and properly maintained room as well as kitchen. It also caters to the functions organized in the college and other related programmes like Seminars, Workshops, Technical Events etc.
Hostel Facility
One of the major concerns of parents about their ward is the facilities of stay away from their home. Venkateshwara College Of Science promises parental care to boys and girl students residing in the hostel. The boy’s hostel accommodates 150 students and 150 girl’s students in separate boys and girls hostel. Two separate mess for boys and girls hostel is available in the hostel premises. Good, hygienic and fresh food is available in the mess. Purified drinking water is available in the hostel. Beautiful green campus of hostel makes their every morning wishful.
Laboratory
A laboratory is a facility that provides controlled conditions in which scientific or technological research, experiments, and measurement may be performed. The Lab is equipped with various models. Our physics, chemistry, biology and computer laboratories have all the equipment in sufficient quantity.
Competitive Exam Guidance
This center has been striving to provide the proper path to the students. It guides about preparation strategy, syllabus, important topics and evaluation of these examinations. To spread awareness about competitive examinations among the students, and to create and sustain their interest in the respective field.

Scholarship
The college offers Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Scholarship also for cast students it offers a scholarship.

A beautiful Computer Lab is equipped with all necessary computer and equipments.These are typically public libraries and academic institutions. Keep all the computer hardware and software and other items in good working condition.
Gymkhana
In order to keep our young talents full of life, we organize lots of sports activity in the college. Venkateshwara College Of Science is providing sufficient time and facilities for sports and gymnasium. The facilities for indoor games like carom & chess are available. Outdoor games like Volleyball, Cricket, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi are available and grounds are ready for the same.
Tradition Of Excellent Result
Traditional Day is observed as a celebration of India's diverse culture, and is usually relaxed day at work. It's a day designated for people to come in traditional attire from their home state, or specific culture of their choice. Everyone at the college came dressed in their best ethnic attires.
